Burkin to Join S&S Sales Unit

Simon & Schuster has appointed Michael Burkin v-p, director of field sales and distribution client services. Previously head of sales for Hyperion, Burkin succeeds Roger Williams, who has left the company to pursue other opportunities. Burkin, who will report to Larry Norton, president of the sales and distribution division, will be responsible for sales of all S&S titles in the field sales channel and will also oversee S&S's distribution business. He will start at S&S August 18.
