Brooks Still Running

Terry Brooks adds a new twist to the Shannara saga with the first book in a new trilogy, High Druid of Shannara: Jarka Ruus, which vaults onto the PW list in the #3 spot. Brooks also adds a new twist to his publicity tour. Instead of touring in the U.S., he will travel to the U.K., where he will make appearances, September 23–27, in Cardiff, Manchester, Glasgow and London for his English publisher, Earthlight. Fans can follow his travels on his Web site—www.terrybrooks.net—in his "Postcards from the Road" section, as he did for his Italian tour in May for the edition published by Mondadori. His Web site is holding an e-signing throughout September; readers who purchase the book through the site will receive a signed or personalized copy in the mail. Del Rey reports 140,000 copies in print.
