Authors Team for Kids' Book

Humorist Dave Barry and suspense novelist Ridley Pearson are combining talents on a children's book, a first for both writers. Called Peter and the Starcatchers, it is a "prequel" to the immortal Peter Pan. It was bought for Hyperion Books for Children by editor Wendy Lefkon from agents Al Hart at Fox Chase (Barry) and Al Beckerman at Writers House (Pearson). (The authors met as members of the infamous Rock Bottom Remainders band.) It was a North American rights buy, and Hyperion promises publication next fall.
