Nonfiction Newbies

by Daisy Maryles -- Publishers Weekly, 9/29/2003

The nonfiction list, too, has four new books. Among the top six are Madam Secretary: A Memoir by Madeleine Albright, with 300,000 copies in print (first printing was 250,00O); and, from Regnery, Shut Up & Sing: How Elites from Hollywood, Politics, and the UN Are Subverting America by radio talk show host Laura Ingraham; total in print: 120,000. Both authors are on a media marathon—Albright's 26-city tour and extensive bookings go through November 20 and Ingraham has more than 100 radio interviews and 15 cities scheduled to date.
