Goehring to Join Harvard Biz School Press

by Karen Holt -- Publishers Weekly, 10/20/2003

Former publisher of Perseus Publishing David Goehring has been named v-p and director of Harvard Business School Press, effective October 27.

Goehring has spent the past 15 years publishing nonfiction books, first at Addison Wesley Longman and then at Perseus, working with authors including T. Berry Brazelton, Richard Feynman and Warren Bennis. Goehring's five-year tenure at Perseus ended last winter, during a reorganization that put the division's titles under the Perseus Basic Books or Perseus Da Capo Press units.

He succeeds Carol Franco, who is becoming editor-at-large for Harvard Business School Publishing. In making the announcement, David Wan, CEO of HBS Publishing, noted that Goehring's "expertise in publishing high-quality business titles and his proven track record in extending content into multiple markets and through a variety of distribution channels is an excellent match with HBS Press's strategic objectives."
