From Light to Truth

by Daisy Maryles -- Publishers Weekly, 1/12/2004

With 37 New York Times bestsellers to her credit, it's no surprise that the latest romantic thriller from Jayne Ann Krentz hits our list one week after its official pub date. Truth or Dare takes readers back to Whispering Springs, the deceptively idyllic Arizona locale of the author's Light in Shadow—which spent five weeks on our chart and garnered a PW starred review ("If Krentz's newest thriller doesn't send your pulse racing, dial your cardiologist's number"). Krentz will be doing radio and TV in each of the stops on her 10-city tour, which kicked off on January 6 with several events in her hometown, Seattle. Foreign rights have been sold in four countries to date, with Brilliance picking up audio rights. Putnam reports 165,750 copies in print.
