Sourcebooks Adds Calendars

by Staff -- Publishers Weekly, 1/26/2004

Sourcebooks is getting into calendars, with an eclectic inaugural line featuring subjects ranging from cats to sex.

The list of six calendars for the coming year, which will go on sale this summer, includes 2005 Poetry Speaks, which is tied to the combination book and CD of the same name published by Sourcebooks. The list also has 2005 Intercourses, a wall calendar featuring color photos celebrating "the beauties of the human body and food." Other calendars draw inspiration from the Encyclopedia Britannica and Dorling Kindersley's bestselling America 24/7. Said Sourcebooks publisher Dominique Raccah, "Our calendars were chosen to bring people something special they can't get anywhere else."
