Trade Paper Triumphs

by Daisy Maryles -- Publishers Weekly, 2/9/2004

Elizabeth Buchan has just finished a 14-city tour promoting her trade paper bestseller Revenge of the Middle-Aged Woman (Penguin) in conjunction with her new Viking title, The Good Wife Strikes Back. Revenge has about 265,000 copies in print after four trips to press.

Anita Shreve's recent hardcover bestseller, All He Ever Wanted, is now a trade paperback bestseller. Little, Brown reports 270,000 copies in print for the hardcover published last April; the Back Bay trade paperback is up to 455,000 copies.

Continuing the success of movie tie-ins is Big Fish: A Novel of Mythic Proportions by Daniel Wallace. Penguin reports more than 175,000 copies in print after nine trips to press.
