Shandler LB Editor-in-Chief

Geoff Shandler, executive editor at Little, Brown since 2002, has been named v-p, editor-in-chief of Little, Brown and Co.'s adult trade division. Since joining LB, Shandler's focus has been on the nonfiction list. In his new position, he will oversee the entire LB editorial department and the company's acquisition strategy. He will also continue to acquire and edit books.
Shandler will report to Michael Pietsch, senior v-p and publisher of Little, Brown. Pietsch told PW that Shandler is now the "head of our editorial department. Everyone reports to him. He'll have a thousand more things to worry about. He'll have a larger role in acquisition decisions. He'll make sure we're seeing the right books and signing the right books."
