In the #7 spot on the hardcover nonfiction list is the official tie-in book to one of the most popular new TV series, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy: The Fab 5's Guide to Looking Better, Cooking Better, Dressing Better, and Living Better, by the Fab 5—Ted Allen, Kyan Douglas, Thom Filicia, Carson Kressley and Jai Rodriguez. Clarkson Potter's first printing is 350,000 copies and, given all the national publicity, selling that amount should be a cinch. Consider one day in the lives of the Fab 5: on February 17—the day the show's second season began—their media lineup included a live segment on the Today Show; taping of two segments for Live! Regis & Kelly; as well as Access Hollywood, Conan O'Brien
and an evening book signing at the Chelsea Barnes & Noble in Manhattan.
