Recording Academy winners announced

No doubt lots of people tuned in February 8 to the live telecast of the 46th Annual Grammy Awards to see if there would be any "wardrobe malfunctions" like the one at the Super Bowl. (Thanks to CBS's precautionary measures, there weren't.) But away from the TV hoopla, during the less glitzy—and way less controversial—off-screen awards presentations held earlier in the day, several audio categories of interest to booksellers were honored.
The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences awards Grammys for notable recordings released between October 1 and September 30 of the previous year. Here are some winners that might catch the eye of bookstore patrons:
Best Spoken Word Album Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right by Al Franken, read by the author (HighBridge Audio)
Best Spoken Word Album for Children Prokofiev: Peter and the Wolf/Beintus: Wolf Tracks, read by Bill Clinton, Mikhail Gorbachev and Sophia Loren with Kent Nagano and the Russian National Orchestra (Penta Tone Music)
Best Musical Album for Children Bon Appétit! by Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer (Rounder Kids)
Best Comedy Album Poodle Hat by Weird Al Yankovic (Volcano Entertainment)
