New Hires at Reed Press

Reed Press president and publisher Fred Ciporen has announced that Beau Friedlander will join the company March 22 as executive editor. Friedlander was most recently publisher and editor-in-chief of Context Books.
Also, Nancy Pines has been named marketing director. Pines, who began at Reed Press earlier this month, has been writing and freelancing since resigning as v-p and publisher of Pocket Books' children's imprints in 2001. Nick Weir-Williams resigned in February as Reed publishing director to pursue other opportunities. Reed Press is a unit of Reed Business Information, parent company of PW.
