Saletan to Join Harcourt

Rebecca Saletan will join Harcourt as editor-in-chief of its adult trade group June 1, succeeding Jane Isay, who recently left the company. For the past six years, Saletan has been editorial director of the Farrar, Straus & Giroux imprint North Point Press, where she has worked with such authors as William Langewiesche and Peter Matthiessen. She will be based in New York and report to Andre Bernard, publisher of Harcourt Trade, who noted that Saletan "brings to her role at Harcourt great vision, energy, dedication and real publishing savvy."
