Kerry in Pictures for Bulfinch

A book of intimate pictures of leading Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry by photographer George Butler, whose photographs of Arnold Schwarzenegger in Pumping Iron helped make him a star (if not California governor), was pre-empted by Bulfinch executive editor Michael L. Sand. He bought world rights from Peter Matson at Sterling Lord Literistic and plans to ready John Kerry: A Portrait, in hardcover and paperback, for September publication. Butler has photographed Kerry for many years, dating from his return from Vietnam to the rise of his political career, and the book will include many never-seen pictures of his family life. Butler is also currently producing a full-length documentary on the candidate.
