New Publisher at Fodor's

Tim Jarrell, an executive with experience in a variety of publishing markets, has been named to the new post of v-p and publisher of Fodor's Travel Publishing. Jarrell will oversee Fodor's book publishing and online operations, the first time one person has been placed in charge of both units.

David Naggar, president of the RH audio & diversified publishing group and the RH information and Fodor's group, cited Jarrell's background in brand building as an important factor in his appointment. Jarrell most recently served for five years as v-p, publishing director, at Sports Illustrated for Kids. Before that, he spent three years at Children's Television Workshop and held marketing posts at Meredith's book group and with the Quality Paperback Book Club.
