A book on pregnancy and childbirth hasn't hit the hardcover bestseller charts for several decades. But that has changed with Belly Laughs by Jenny McCarthy, a former Playboy Playmate and mother of a toddler. Her book lands on PW's list in the #13 spot. This is also the first-ever bestseller for 40-year-old Da Capo Press. It launched McCarthy's book with a 30,000-copy printing and went back to press for second and third printings, bringing the total to 50,000. Most likely, the publisher will be pushing the reprint button again next week. McCarthy has done lots of broadcast media, including Regis & Kelly, The Wayne Brady Show, Jimmy Kimmel and even Howard Stern. She will also be featured in Glamour's July issue.
