Sales Fall at Franklin

by Staff -- Publishers Weekly, 5/24/2004

Total sales at Franklin Electronic Publishers fell 5.8%, to $61.8 million, for the fiscal year ended March 31, and net income fell to $1.6 million from $2.3 million. Income in fiscal 2003 included a $966,000 tax refund. Weak sales in the first half of the year offset the improvement in the final part of fiscal 2004. Franklin president Barry Lipsky said he expects the improved sales trend to continue into fiscal 2005.
