Sen. Graham Blasts U.S. Security

by John F. Baker -- Publishers Weekly, 6/21/2004

Florida's Sen. Bob Graham, who has been a leading critic of America's intelligence operations and national security network, has signed with Random House to write a book on his findings, to be published as early as September. In the course of it he plans to raise questions about the competence and honesty of certain government officials, according to editor-in-chief Jonathan Karp, who signed for world rights with agent Robert Barnett of Washington's Williams & Wilkins. "His conclusions are disturbing and his call for action compelling," Karp said. Graham was on the Senate Intelligence Committee for 10 years and recently co-chaired a congressional inquiry into 9/11 intelligence failures. His coauthor on the book will be Jeff Nussbaum.
