Hughes, Freimuth To Exit Publishing

One of publishing's best-known couples, John Hughes and Carrie Freimuth, are making the joint move out of the New York publishing business. Hughes, Perseus marketing director, and Freimuth, a HarperCollins veteran, are both leaving to start a new life in Colorado. Hughes plans to teach, and his wife, Freimuth, who has an MBA, will explore a variety of options. Perseus confirms it is looking for a new marketing director. No word on the Harper hire.
