ALA Headliner
-- Publishers Weekly, 7/5/2004
While BookExpo America kicked off its convention with a speech by former
president Bill Clinton, the American Library Association turned to terrorism
expert and author Richard Clarke to start things off at its annual meeting held
late last month in Orlando. Clarke’s keynote touched on such controversial
topics as the Iraq invasion and the USA Patriot Act and drew several standing
ovations.
