'7 Habits' Gets a Sequel

by John F. Baker -- Publishers Weekly, 7/5/2004

Fifteen years ago, The 7 Habits of Highly Successful People by Stephen Covey began a hugely successful career, here and overseas, and ultimately racked up sales of 15 million copies; now its author, who has produced several spinoffs over the years, has finally moved on to what he calls The 8th Habit: From Effectiveness to Greatness. It is Covey's contention that both individuals and companies need to find their own basic values before they can achieve the best of which they are capable, and his book aims to help readers accomplish that. The Free Press's editorial director, Dominick Anfuso, bought world rights from agent Jan Miller at Dupree, Miller, and will publish in November. Incidentally, a new trade paperback of 7 Habits will appear the previous month, to celebrate the book's 15th anniversary.
