Cussler Finds His Way

by Daisy Maryles -- Publishers Weekly, 8/9/2004

Clive Cussler is a regular on the charts—in the last nine years he's landed more than 12 books on PW's lists. His latest, Lost City: A Kurt Austin Adventure, written with Paul Kemprecos, hits PW's hardcover list in the #3 spot with 385,000 copies in print. Putnam will publish Cussler's next Dirk Pitt novel, Black Wind, on November 22. The author will then do a tour (at least five or six cities) and media interviews. While a first printing has not been decided on, Putnam plans a number "well north of 700,000 copies."
