Dr. Laura Takes Two

Dr. Laura Schlessinger's eighth bestselling how-to title, Woman Power: Transform Your Man, Your Marriage, Your Life, lands in the #10 spot on PW's list and her former bestseller The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands goes back on the chart in the #14 spot after a one-month hiatus. The latter had a strong run on our charts and has been on the list for a total of 27 weeks so far (it was #2 for three weeks in February). Total copies in print of Woman Power: 300,000 after two trips to press. It has a way to go to reach the one million copies (20 printings) racked up by Proper Care. HarperCollins is positioning the new book as the companion to Proper Care and Dr. Laura has been touting both titles on various national shows. She will do a TV satellite tour to 20 markets on August 24.
