MORRIS COMMUNICATIONS

The Milepost: Food, Gas, Lodging, Camping, Fishing, Sightseeing and Road Conditions Along the Highways and Byways of Alaska, Yukon Territory, Northwest Territories and Major Access Routes in Alberta and British Columbia (Mar., $25.95) by Kris Graef includes more than 500 photographs and more than 100 maps, as well as mile-by-mile details for 30 major highways and 58 secondary roads.


THE MOUNTAINEERS BOOKS

To celebrate the fall opening of the Northern Forest Canoe Trail--a 740-mile nature-travel route flowing through New York, Vermont, Quebec, New Hampshire, and Maine--the publisher will issue the official maps to the route (as designated by Northern Forest Canoe Trail Inc., the nonprofit organization that conceived and developed the trail). These waterproof, tear-proof, color contour maps offer detailed route descriptions, illustrated with color photos. The first four of a series of 13 maps will be out in September; all are two-sided, priced at $9.95 each.
