Sterling Tabs Trelstad

Julie Trelstad, formerly a senior editor at John Wiley, has been named to the newly created position of executive editor, acquisitions, at Sterling Publishing, effective September 15.

Trelstad will report to Sterling v-p and editor-in-chief Steve Magnuson. She will be responsible for acquiring woodworking, home reference, science, sports, architecture and general reference titles. She will also be responsible for overseeing backlist sales and commissioning updates of the titles in those categories.

At Wiley, Trelstad handled books on architecture, design and construction. She also spent three years at Taunton Press.
