Perry to Head Scholastic Trade Sales

Last week Scholastic continued the overhaul of its trade operations by appointing Jack Perry v-p of trade sales. Perry, who will join Scholastic in mid-October, was most recently v-p, director of sales and marketing for Sourcebooks. Prior to joining Sourcebooks, Perry held management positions at Random House. Scholastic began making personnel changes in the trade group earlier this year when the unit's results failed to meet expectations. Following the departure of trade group senior v-p Michael Jacobs, some of his management duties were given to Ellie Berger and the company began a search for someone to assume his sales role.
