A Lemmon Memoir About Dad

by John F. Baker -- Publishers Weekly, 9/20/2004

Academy Award–winning actor Jack Lemmon was always close to his son, Chris, and unlike many big stars, Lemmon spent a great deal of time with the boy, both in his childhood and in his later years. They shared adventures on vacation in the Alaskan wilderness, later played golf together, and it's all recorded with fondness, admiration and nostalgia in A Twist of Lemmon by Christopher Lemmon. The book was just bought at auction by Chuck Adams, in his new spot at Algonquin, who aims to publish for Christmas next year. The sale was made by Mitchell Waters at Curtis Brown, who had also combined with Adams on the hit Maureen O'Hara memoir when the editor was at Simon & Schuster.
