Mannheim Makes Buy

Mannheim Holdings LLC has made its second acquisition in the professional publishing field this year with its purchase of Demos Medical Publishing. Based in New York City, Demos publishes books for medical professionals in neurology, rehabilitation and related fields. The company was founded in 1985 by Dr. Diana Schneider, who will remain president and publisher. Demos has a backlist of 92 titles.
The Demos purchase, which was completed earlier this summer, follows Mannheim Holdings' acquisition of Springer Publishing in March, which was Mannheim's entry into publishing.
