'Maisie Dobbs' Goes to Holt
by John F. Baker -- Publishers Weekly, 10/4/2004
The spunky former nurse who sets out her shingle as a pioneer female PI in London just after World War I has been gaining many fans, particularly among independent booksellers, and Henry Holt publisher John Sterling and editor-in-chief Jennifer Barth stepped in to take over her next two exploits. They signed author Jacqueline Winspear for North American rights for two new books with agent Amy Rennert and plan to publish the next Dobbs next September, the fourth a year later, both for Picador paperback. The previous publisher was Soho.
