After Notes: CSPAN's New Idea

One last serious bit of news before we sign off for '04. C-SPAN2 has announced a new show called After Words which will debut this Sunday at 6 and appears to be part of the plan to create programming post-Booknotes. The show is its "new weekly author interview program," though we didn't hear back by press time on anything further. Contemporary issues seems to be the theme-- Newt Gingrich is up first, interviewed by Norman Ornstein of the American Enterprise Institute. Horward Friel, Sister Helen Prejean and others are up in future weeks.
