More Good Times

by Daisy Maryles -- Publishers Weekly, 1/3/2005

Former president Jimmy Carter has certainly kept busy in the 23 years since he left the White House. His 19th book, Sharing Good Times, lands on the list with a first printing of 350,000 copies. Publisher Simon & Schuster felt lucky that he was able to give them four days of his jam-packed schedule for touring—they sent him to New York, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles and San Francisco. He did many of the usual national shows, as well as ESPN and Fox Sports—both of which aired clips of Carter playing softball and basketball as a youth.
