From Soup, Comes Success

by Daisy Maryles -- Publishers Weekly, 1/24/2005

Jack Canfield, who made his mark on the bestseller lists with the Chicken Soup for the Soul series (more than 80 million copies sold, says its publisher, Health Communications) lands this week with a new book from HarperCollins, The Success Principles: How to Get from Where You Are to Where You Want to Be. The publisher launched the book with a prepublication sell-in tour to accounts and an extensive mailing of finished books to about 2,500 author contacts. Also helping sales is a month-long tour to 15 markets, with events at bookstores, churches and local business organizations. Total in print after three trips to press: 235,000 copies.
