NBNI Sales Option Draws Dearborn

by Staff -- Publishers Weekly, 1/24/2005

Dearborn Trade Publishing has become the first non-NBN U.S. client to sign on to TradeSelect, the new sales option offered by NBN's international division, NBNi. Dearborn, which handles its own distribution in the U.S., shifted its U.K. distribution from Eurospan to NBNi January 1 to take advantage of the sales and marketing services now offered by NBNi.

Jed Lyons, head of NBN, said the company launched TradeSelect last fall with a limited number of titles from its U.S. publishers. Despite the deal with Dearborn, Lyons said NBNi will move "methodically" in adding more publishers to the TradeSelect program. "Our primary focus will remain on fulfillment only."
