License Developer Turns to Publishing

Jeff Gomez, a writer and producer best known for developing licensed kids properties for books and video games, is launching a new book publishing project. The publisher, Kissena Park Press, will focus on adult trade fiction and non-fiction in addition to children's books, graphic novels and books for the Hispanic market. It'll be distributed by CDS, Gomez developed Magic: The Gathering, a popular book, comics and trading card property for Wizards of the Coast; he hopes to get to 4-6 books by 2006.--Calvin Reid
