More Green for Greene

by Daisy Maryles -- Publishers Weekly, 2/28/2005

If you work for Oprah and you write a book, you're guaranteed a home run. Bob Greene is enjoying his third, with Total Body Makeover: An Accelerated Program of Exercise and Nutrition for Maximum Results in Minimum Time. Buoyed by a full hour on Oprah's February 14 show, the book hits the nonfiction list in the #1 spot this week. Since publication in early January, Simon & Schuster has gone to press nine times, for a total of 550,000 copies. Back in 1996, Greene's Make the Connection, written with Oprah, was on PW's hardcover list for 32 weeks (eight of those in the #1 spot); in 2002, his Get with the Program: Getting Real with Your Weight, Health, and Emotional Well-Being was on the charts for 22 weeks (twice at #1).
