What's That Sound? Audie Nominees!

by Shannon Maughan, PW Daily for Booksellers -- Publishers Weekly, 3/2/2005

Sure, Oscar has a lock on much of this week's awards coverage. But the audio awards season is still heating up. The Grammys have been handed out and now the Audio Publishers Association has announced the finalists for its 10th annual Audie Awards, which will be presented during a gala event at Tavern on the Green in New York City on June 3.

The Audies recognize excellence in audiobook publishing in 31 different categories, including Audiobook of the Year. Two new categories have been added this year, Literary Fiction and Romance, and a new Judges' Award for Language Learning titles will also make its debut.
