AVE MARIA PRESS Tom Grady, a former literary agent who also worked for Harper San Francisco for 11 years, has been named publisher. He succeeds Frank Cunningham, who is retiring after 27 years with the press.
ST. MARTIN'S PRESS/TOR Steve Cohen has been named executive v-p and COO, in addition to management of accounting and finance, production and Priddy Books.
BOOK INDUSTRY STUDY GROUP Dominique Raccah, founder and publisher of Sourcebooks Inc., and Mike Strauch, director of North American book buying for Amazon.com, have joined the board of directors. Strauch replaces Amazon's Lyn Blake, who is retiring, and Raccah will represent the interests of mid-sized publishers.
BANTAM DELL PUBLISHING GROUP Paolo Pepe, previously v-p, executive art director at S&S, has been named v-p, executive cover art director, succeeding Jim Plumeri, who is retiring after 20 years.
HARPERCOLLINS CHILDREN'S BOOKS Ellen Stamper, former publisher of Paint Chip Productions who has also worked for Scholastic, Penguin and Nickelodeon Books, has been named editorial director of the HarperFestival group.
McCOY PROJECTS INC. Terry McCoy, a filmmaker, editor and curator who has produced visual books and exhibitions for the Warner Book Group and Seven Stories Press, is expanding the firm's services for books dealing with the arts, culture and politics.
RODALE Jennifer DeFilippi, previously an editor at Clarkson Potter, has been named an editor in the women's book group, with a focus on general lifestyle books.
KNOVEL CORP. J. Thomas Gensch, previously v-p of content and premium service at Payment One, has been named v-p of worldwide sales.
WARNER FAITH Gary Terashita, formerly with Broadman and Holman Publishers, has been named a senior editor.
ALIVE COMMUNICATIONS Don Pape, previously publisher of WaterBrook Press/Shaw Books, has joined the company as a literary agent.
INTEGRITY PUBLISHERS LaVenia J. LaVelle, formerly public relations manager for Zondervan, has been named director of public relations.
