What Are You Reading?

by Staff -- Publishers Weekly, 5/30/2005

Pamela Papazidis, 49 Paralegal, Stamford, Conn.

What are you reading?

The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien

Where did you get it?

It was in a bag of books I bought at a church sale.

What prompted you to read it?

I read it in high school, but don't remember any of the details. I wanted to read the whole trilogy now, and figured I'd better go back to the beginning.

How are you liking it?

I'm finding all sorts of nifty words in it, like "befuddled." I'm trying to work that into my sentences now.

What's the last book you read?

Plain Truth by Jodi Picoult.

Are you reading anything else?

Founding Mothers, Cokie Roberts's book about women who influenced the founding fathers, and A Midwife's Tale: The Life of Martha Ballardby Laurel Thatcher Ulrich.
