Eleven On Top by Janet Evanovich (St. Martin's, $26.95). Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum quits her job for less dangerous work in her 11th outing. 1,250,000 first printing.
The Truth about Hillary: What She Knew, When She Knew It, and How Far She'll Go to Become President by Edward Klein (Sentinel, $24.95) became one of the summer's most anticipated drop-in titles when conservative columnist Matt Drudge claimed its revelations would damage Clinton's undeclared presidential campaign. 344,000 first print.
One Shot by Lee Child (Delacorte, $25), featuring the rugged ex-army cop Jack Reacher, is "a riveting puzzle, as vivid set pieces and rapid-fire dialogue culminate in a slam-bang showdown," according to PW's review. 150,000 first print.
Rococo by Adriana Trigiani (Random House, $24.95) offers Italian recipes, family dramas and oodles of decorating ideas in a feel-good story about a New Jersey interior designer tackling his dream job. 120,000 first print.
Locked Rooms by Laurie King (Bantam, $24), follows Mary Russell and husband Sherlock Holmes to San Francisco in 1922, where Russell's past catches up with them, as she tries to settle her father's estate. 75,000 first print.
The Icarus Girl by Helen Oyeyemi (Doubleday/Nan Talese, $23.95), is the story of a troubled eight-year-old haunted by family secrets, written by a 20-year-old Nigerian-born Cambridge student who U.K. critics have compared to Zadie Smith. 25,000 first print.
