Naxos Tabs Anderson
William Anderson, formerly audiobook sales manager for Ingram Entertainment, has been named sales and marketing manager for Naxos Audiobooks USA.
Hernandez, Brazas Join Ingram
Sanford Hernandez, who has worked for Chronicle, Rizzoli Books and Waldenbooks, has been named field sales representative for Arizona, Southern California, Hawaii and southern Nevada. Edward Brazas, formerly a sales and marketing representative for Koen Book Distribution, has also been named a field sales representative, serving Kentucky, North and South Carolina and Virginia.
Ryskamp Retires
Bruce Ryskamp, CEO and former president of Zondervan, will retire September 30 after 22 years with the publisher. He will contine to work with the house as a special adviser to Harper CEO Jane Friedman.
Springer Hires Merkel-Sobotta
Eric Merkel-Sobotta, formerly director of corporate relations in the science and medical division at Reed Elsevier, has been named executive v-p, corporate communications at Springer.
O'Brien Moves to CCC
Bill O'Brien has been named senior sales consultant for Rightslink, an online licensing application created by the Copyright Clearing Center.
Lyon Hired At Prestel
Christopher Lyon, previously an editor at Abbeville, has been appointed executive editor for Prestel New York.
