Jaci Updike, formerly Random House v-p national accounts, Barnes & Noble, has been named v-p, director of Random House adult sales. She succeeds Madeline McIntosh, who became publisher of Random House audio and large print publishing earlier this year.

Maryvel Bergen, formerly director of custom product and intercompany sales, will direct Black Dog and Levanthal's proprietary and special project sales and publishing program. Dana Trombley, formerly an intern at Avalon, has joined the company as an editorial and publicity assistant.
