LaFarge Heads to Bloomsbury

-- Publishers Weekly, 10/18/2005

After stints in new media and a tenure as a senior editor at Crown, Annik LaFarge is joining Bloomsbury as publishing director. LaFarge, who served as e-publisher for the now-defunct Brill venture Contentville, joined Crown in 2001 where she was behind a number of high profile acquisitions (if no memorable bestsellers).

In her new role, effective November 14, LaFarge will act as a liaison between the editorial and marketing/publicity departments working on pre-pub arrangements and generally helping to maximize potential sales of titles. LaFarge won't be absent from the editorial process though; she'll also acquiring and editing four to six titles annually.
