This week our pictures capture visitors and exhibitors at last week's San Diego Comic-con International.

 

IT'S COMIC-CON!!
More than 80,000 fans (and superfans) flocked to the San Diego Comic-con last week in search of the latest in comics, graphic novels and all manner of pop culture entertainment. Pictured are The Hulk and She-Hulk.
   
THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF ABADAZAD
Brenda Bowen, editor-in-chief of Hyperion Books for Kids, and J.M. DeMatteis, author of Abadazad, were at Comic-con to discuss plans for the new comics and prose version of the revived fantasy series Abadazad.

IT'S MBQ TIME
Rising Stars of manga winner Felipe Smith, author of MBQ, the newly released original English manga from Tokyopop, greets fans at Tokyopop's Comic-con booth.

SPACE IS THE PLACE
Space babes and extraterrestrials greeted the fans at the Sci-fi Channel's booth at Comic-con.
A COUPLE OF LULUS
PW's own Heidi MacDonald was named Woman of Distinction and online cartoonist Shaenon Garrity was named a Lulu of the Year by the Friends of Lulu at its annual awards ceremony honoring women in the comics industry.

Manga author Segamu (aka Borders buyer Kurt Hassler) and illustrator Melissa DeJesus (l.), co-creators of the original English-language manga Sakora Refugees greet fans and talk about the new book at Tokyopop's booth.
