Obituary: Pauline de Margerie

Pauline de Margerie, director of international rights for French publisher Univers Poche, died in Paris last week at age 51. De Margerie was responsible for the French paperback publication of a great many American titles, working with American agents, editors and scouts. "She was one of those people who made doing business—with France and generally—a pleasure," said New York literary scout Maria Campbell. A memorial service will be held at the London Book Fair.
