Counting Coulter

-- Publishers Weekly, 6/16/2006

Ann Coulter’s rants against 9/11 widows paid off in the expected way as her book Godless is at the top of many bestseller charts this week. Among the lists it hit were all eight regional Book Sense charts, although its performance varied by region.

Godless did best among Southern California stores where it hit the number 2 spot. It finished number 3 on the Mid-Atlantic regional list, at 4 on the Southern Independent Booksellers Alliance list, and 5 on the Heartland Independent list (which combines GLBA and MBA). The book did less well on the Mountains and Plains, Northern California and Pacific Northwest lists where it clocked in in the ninth position. On the New England Booksellers Association list, Godless was tenth.
