Excelsior! Stan Lee Honored at 2007 NYCC

Next year's New York Comic-con is looking even better after show officials announced that the inimitable Stan Lee—the man who made New York City hometown for Marvel Superheroes—will appear as a Guest of Honor at next year's NYCC, held Feburary 23-25 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center. The legendary Lee, co-creator of characters like the Fantastic Four, The X-men and the Incredible Hulk, will also figure in a exhibition to be held at the Museum of Comicand Cartoon Art in SoHo, that will open the same weekend as New York Comic-con.

These days Lee lives in L.A. and is the head of POW! Entertainment.

"Looking forward to seeing comicdom assembled next February," says Lee. "Don'tcha dare be late!"

Blair Butlers's Weekly Reviews on G4TV

Star Wars: Legacy #1: 2 (Dark Horse): We check out Dark Horse’s ongoing Star Wars series. Why do I like it? The Sith look like G.W.A.R. Seriously, G.W.A.R.

Hack/Slash: First Cut (Devil’s Due Publishing): The tables are turned when a series of Jason and Freddy-esque Slashers get hunted by a teenage girl. Somehow, I think the Buffy fans will like this.

Martian Manhunter #1 (DC): Wow. You made me like the Martian Manhunter in a solo book. Advantage DC.
