Sterling Inks with Hollan for Romance Lifestyle Line

by Rachel Deahl, PW Daily -- Publishers Weekly, 12/19/2006

Sterling Publishing has partnered with Massachusetts-based packager Hollan Publishing to release a line of "illustrated romantic lifestyle" books. Done under Hollan's Ravenous imprint, the books will vary slightly in subject but each will feature high-end photography. Through the agreement, Hollan will publish at least 25 titles annually in the line, with eight to 10 being photography books about "sexuality and lovemaking." First titles are due out next fall.

Sterling will distribute the titles and have a major role in the publishing process. According to Leigh Ann Ambrosi, director of marketing and publicity, Sterling will help determine "the look and feel of the books" as well as their design, format and pricing. Sterling publisher and CEO Charles Nurnberg said he believes the line will complement his house's current program. "These books have crossover appeal to our many subject areas including aromatherapy, physical and spiritual well-being, and the essence of everyday life."
