Prairie Lights Reschedules Reading

Prairie Lights, the bookstore that closed its doors and canceled an author event last week in response to anonymous threats the store had received (PW Daily, Feb. 1), has rescheduled the reading with Krista Jacob, the author of Abortion Under Attack: Women on the Challenges Facing Choice. Jacob will read at the store on March 21; the event will be broadcast on the Iowa Public Radio show "Live from Prairie Lights." Store personnel told "PW Daily" that the new date would give them ample time to prepare for any potential problems. "It's the right thing to do," store book buyer Paul Ingram said, when asked what had prompted the store to reschedule the event.
