Since its opening on the February 16 weekend with receipts of more than $52 million, Nicholas Cage's Ghost Rider movie has gone on to gross more than than $80 million. Directed by Mark Steven Johnson, the film is introducing Marvel's Ghost Rider character to a new generation of comics fans. Following all the hype over the upcoming film, the reprint edition of 300, Frank Miller's 1999 graphic novel about the battle of Thermopylae in 480 B.C, is likely to become one of the biggest selling comics titles of year. Director Zach Snyder based the film heavily on Miller's comics, which were used as storyboards for the film. The hardcover has sold more than 20,000 copies since January.
