Pinker Again to Viking

by Matthew Thornton, PW Daily -- Publishers Weekly, 4/13/2007

Steven Pinker has just signed to write his third book with Viking, titled The Decline of Violence and Its Implications. Wendy Wolf bought North American rights from John Brockman at Brockman Inc. The new book, to be published in four years, will expand on Pinker's March article in The New Republic exploring the relevance of the decrease in violence worldwide to theories of human nature.

Pinker is the author of several bestselling books, most recently The Blank Slate, which Viking published in 2002. Pinker's forthcoming book, The Stuff of Thought, will be published by Viking this September. U.K. rights to The Decline of Violence have already been sold to Penguin.
